Weekly Indemnity

Weekly Indemnity is the benefit that provides weekly cash assistance if a Participant becomes temporarily disabled due to accident before the age of 70. The maximum period payable is 104 weeks after the date of the accident.

Important terms and conditions of the products This Benefit is applicable only to the Participant. Whilst this Certificate and Annexure is in force, the Takaful Operator shall pay the amount of this Benefit as set forth below upon any of the following respective event occurring prior to the Participant attaining the age of 70.

Temporary Total Disability In the event of Temporary Total Disability effected directly and independently of all other causes by a sudden, unintentional, unexpected, unusual and specific event that occurs at an identifiable time and place, the amount of this Benefit as set forth in the Table of Benefit Amount above is payable weekly during the disability period; and The maximum Weekly Indemnity Benefit payable on the Participant with respect to all Weekly Indemnity Benefits and Personal Accident Benefits secured under all certificates insuring the life of the Participant with the Takaful Operator shall be limited to RM1,400 per week for Occupation Class 1 or 2 and RM700 per week for Occupation Class 3 or 4

Temporary Partial Disability In the event of Temporary Partial Disability effected directly and independently of all other causes by a sudden, unintentional, unusual and specific event that occurs at an identifiable time and place, the amount of this Benefit as set forth in the Table of Benefit Amount above is payable weekly during the disability period; and The maximum Weekly Indemnity Benefit payable on the Participant with respect to all Weekly Indemnity Benefits and Personal Accident Benefits secured under all certificates insuring the life of the Participant with the Takaful Operator shall be limited to RM700 per week per week for Occupation Class 1 or 2 and RM350 per week for Occupation Class 3 or 4

Exclusions Weekly Indemnity will be payable provided that disability was not directly or indirectly occasioned or accelerated: by war, invasion, act of foreign enemy hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, direct participation in riot, strike or civil commotion; by any violation or attempted violation of the law or resistance to arrest; by attempted suicide or self-inflicted injuries while sane or insane; by pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage or any complications thereof; by pre-existing physical or mental defect or infirmity; by engaging in or taking part in professional sports, scuba diving, racing of any kind, aerial flights (including bungee jumping, hang gliding, ballooning, parachuting and sky diving) other than as a crew member of or as a fare paying passenger on a licensed passenger-carrying commercial aircraft operation on a regular scheduled route or any hazardous activities or sports, unless agreed by special endorsement; by narcotic or drug unless taken as prescribed by a qualified doctor or physician or surgeon; by alcoholic intoxication
