Accidental Medical Reimbursement

  • Accidental Medical Reimbursement is designed to reimburse you on your medical bills incurred due to accident upon confinement in the hospital up to 104 weeks from the date of the accident before age 70.

    The reimbursement is payable in one lump sum and is according to the actual amount incurred or the sum covered whichever is lower.

    Important terms and conditions of the product
    DOCTOR or PHYSICIAN or SURGEON

    A registered medical practitioner qualified and licensed to practice western medicine who, in rendering such treatment is practising within the scope of his/her license and training in the geographical area of practise, but excluding a doctor, physician or surgeon who is the Participant him or herself.
    Exclusions
    Accidental Medical Reimbursement will be payable provided that bodily injury was not directly or indirectly occasioned or accelerated:
    • by war, invasion, act of foreign enemy hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, direct participation in riot, strike or civil commotion;
    • by any violation or attempted violation of the law or resistance to arrest;
    • by attempted suicide or self-inflicted injuries while sane or insane;
    • by pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage or any complications thereof;
    • by pre-existing physical or mental defect or infirmity;
    • by engaging in or taking part in professional sports, scuba diving, racing of any kind, aerial flights (including bungee jumping, hang gliding, ballooning, parachuting and sky diving) other than as a crew member of or as a fare paying passenger on a licensed passenger-carrying commercial aircraft operation on a regular scheduled route or any hazardous activities or sports, unless agreed by special endorsement;
    • by narcotic or drug unless taken as prescribed by a qualified doctor or physician or surgeon;
    • by alcoholic intoxication.
